Two years have gone and Fenerbahçe are still haven’t replaced Emre Belözoglu, the 36-year old who’s now working wonders at league leaders Medipol Başakşehir.

Dick Advocaat wants to solve his creativity problems in his Fenerbahçe midfield with Mehmet Topal and Josef de Souza unable to have the desired effect wanted by the Dutch coach.

Advocaat said his midfielders are all very good players, but he also thinks the 4 players in the Fenerbahçe midfield are all the same. The experienced Dutchman has reportedly told Aziz Yildirim that he needs a good technical midfielder, and AmkSpor reveal Advocaat’s first choice is Chelsea’s Cesc Fabregas.

AC Milan’s Jose Sosa is unwilling to return to Turkey because of the recent terror attacks, which has forced Fenerbahçe to go deep in transfer market again for a midfielder, and Chelsea’s Spaniard currently leads the way as their prime target.

AmkSpor has some interesting claims to say about the latest developments on the future of Fabregas. They say Fenerbahçe could use Chelsea’s interest in Simon Kjaer to land Fabregas as the Turkish club will give Chelsea first option on their player at the end of the season, if the Spain international joins the Turkish club on loan.

Fabregas is currently down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge, and he’s only played 318 minutes of Premier League football this season, but enjoyed a revival recently. Fenerbahçe also want Fabregas on a permanent deal, if the club land themselves a place in the Champions League for next season.

This all seems rather unlikely.
