Tottenham are one of three clubs interested in Espanyol striker Raul de Tomas after his flying start to this season.

That’s according to Fichajes, who say the striker is one of the ‘undisputed sensations’ of the season so far and has earned himself plenty of attention as a result.

With six goals to his name so far, De Tomas is one of the most ‘fashionable’ strikers in Europe, and as a result, his name has started to be mentioned on the ‘agenda’ of clubs in Spain and in the big European league.

Atlético Madrid are eyeing a new striker, and there is a feeling he would be ‘great’ for Diego Simeone’s style of play.

Sevilla are another interested party, possibly because they could lose Youssef En Nesyri in January, and the Spanish striker would be an option to replace him if that happens.

It’s not only Spanish interest, though, and that’s where Tottenham come into it.

They’re ‘preparing’ for next summer, which could be ‘definitive’ as Harry Kane still wants to leave.

Whether he does or not remains to be seen, but it is ‘necessary’ for them to sign another striker, and they have ‘very good reports’ on De Tomas, and they could try to bring the striker to the Premier League.

There’s no mention of the kind of fee Tottenham would pay, or what Espanyol would look for, although the Spanish side would presumably want decent compensation for a key player.

It seems the interest is largely focused on next summer anyway, so De Tomas is simply a name to keep an eye on at this point.
