Currently going through a patch of bad results, Manchester United find themselves in a situation where all the attention is on their manager.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, for all the good he has done to the club since taking over, is now at the centre of a debate regarding his future, as performances on the pitch have not met the required standard, especially following the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo.

While the general line is that the Norwegian is safe for now, rumours about other managers either being contacted or interested have started to emerge.

Antonio Conte is one of them, while the other is Zinedine Zidane, stemming from El Chiringuito in Spain.

The news comes from one of their panellists, Eduardo Inda, who claims to have learnt that Manchester United ‘have called’ the former France international ‘by recommendation of Cristiano Ronaldo’.

Now, whether you want to believe the Portuguese star is already ready to turn his back on Solskjaer after playing just a handful of games is up to you, but keep one thing in mind: there’s little chance of seeing Zidane at Manchester United.

The reason for that is, according to French journalist Frédéric Hermel, the manager ‘has never been interested in the Premier League and surely never will be’, when commenting on a rumour that Newcastle United were looking at the former La Liga star for their new era.

For those who don’t know, Hermel is a well respected journalist for all things Real Madrid, but also Zidane, whom he knows extremely well, having interviewed him a large number of times.

Basically, that should be the end of that, then.
