Southampton are one of the clubs interested in Italian sensation Lorenzo Lucca, according to claims from Italy.
As the striker featured on Tuesday for the national team’s U21s against Sweden, it’s said a couple of sides sent scouts to watch his performance.
The Saints are one of them, along with RB Leipzig, according to website Tutto B.
The two are said to be the foreign sides who could join the competition for his signing, as Serie A giants AC Milan have already been following him.
The outlet highlights the ‘amazing performances’ from the youngster which have been drawing interest from multiple clubs.
Lorenzo Lucca has just moved from Palermo to Pisa in a €2.1m deal. In his first months in Italy’s second division, he’s had an impressive start with six goals and one assist in seven appearances.
In this friendly against Sweden yesterday, he scored his first goal for Italy’s U-21 squad in the 1-1 draw, so Southampton may have liked what they went to see.
He has three caps for the U21 side so far.
