Bayer Leverkusen’s Leon Bailey ‘has an offer’ from Aston Villa, reports Sky Deutschland.
The winger has been regularly contributing with goals and assists for the German club as he managed 28 goals and 20 assists in the league since the start of the 2017/18 season.
He has two years left on his contract with the Bundesliga side and despite that, the 23-year-old ‘should leave’ the club this summer.
Sky transfer expert Max Bielefeld further explains Bayer Leverkusen are ready to give up the Jamaica international.
Bielefeld explains that within the club, they are of the opinion that it would be ‘better’ for both Bayer Leverkusen and the Jamaica international ‘to part ways’ in the ongoing window.
Sky points out that his currently value, as per KMPG, is €39m and state Bayer Leverkusen don’t intent to sell Bailey below that figure.
Gerardo Seoane’s side have received an offer from Villa, but the report doesn’t provide the details of the proposal made by the Premier League club.
With Bayer willing to give up their attacker, Villa can secure Bailey’s services if their offer can convince the German side and the Jamaican.
