Sunderland attacker Jeremain Lens has told the Dutch media he’s feeling good since leaving the club in the summer. Lens is currently on loan with Fenerbahce, and his performances for the Turkish giants have earned him a recall to the Netherlands squad.

Speaking to Voetbal International in the build up to Friday’s clash with France, Lens was asked about being selected by Danny Blind.

The Sunderland loanee said at the moment he’s feeling great at Fenerbahce after joining them in the last window. Lens said playing for the Turkish side on a regular basis has been beneficial to him, and has helped him get a call up for his country.

“I feel good at Fener. If you perform at your club, you will be eligible for Oranje. This shows once again,” said Lens.

Lens signed for Sunderland last year, but made just 25 appearances for the Premier League side, including 2 this season. Since joining Fenerbahce Lens has impressed, and he was in inspired form during his side’s 2-1 victory over Manchester United last week when he scored a stunning free kick.
