A few days ago we covered claims from Spain of a huge price drop for Thomas Lemar.
Atletico Madrid signed the Frenchman from AS Monaco for €80m, after competition from other clubs including Arsenal.
He hasn’t been able to adapt to Diego Simeone’s tactics and has been edged towards the exit door for a couple of windows now. The latest claims said his price had collapsed to as low as €25m, with Wolves one of the clubs thought to be interested.
The links with Nuno Espirito Santo’s side didn’t seem to have too much behind them, but Wolves are now linked again, this time in the Sunday edition of Sport.
They state Nuno’s side are ‘betting the most’ for the player, and lead a chase from the Premier League. That sounds a lot like wishful thinking from an Atletico perspective.
Lemar is keen on a move to England, as he looks to kickstart his career, and will hope that a relatively low price can help him get the transfer he desires.
