Fotomac claim Galatasaray have commenced talks with Southampton over the signing of Mario Lemina.
The Turkish giants side loaned the Gabonese international at the start of the season and the 26 year old has been impressive for the Super Lig club since his arrival in Istanbul.
He’s established himself as a key player in Fatih Terim’s side and Fotomac report they want to continue with the player beyond this season.
Gala have the option to make Lemina’s move permanent for €16m, but Fotomac report they will try to get Southampton to lower this fee as they can’t activate the redemption clause due to their finances.
Lemina is said to be happy at Galatasaray as he’s content to work under Terim. It’s reported Gala have instructed his representatives to convince the Saints over a deal, and the former Juventus midfielder will also push for a move.
The midfielder has made 21 appearances in all competitions for the Turkish champions this season and scored one goal. His contract with Southampton will expire at the end of June 2022.
