Russian website Championat claim Everton striker Oumar Niasse has rejected a chance to join his former club Lokomotiv Moscow.

Niasse’s contract with Carlo Ancelotti’s side will expire at the end of the season and Championat report Lokomotiv want to sign him on a free. However, it’s claimed the player has turned down their advances.

Championat say Niasse wants to consider his options in Turkey and England, but there’s still a chance he may return to the Russian Super League, with other clubs said to be interested.

It’s also claimed Lokomotiv could make another offer for the 29 year old in the coming days, with the transfer window in Russia open until February 21st.

Niasse joined Everton from Lokomotiv Moscow for €17.9m in 2016, but he’s failed to make an impact since arriving at Goodison Park.

The Senegalese striker has had loan spells with Hull City and Cardiff City during his time with the Toffees, and has made just three Premier League appearances this season.
