Aksam claim Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti wants to see French midfielder Steven Nzonzi at Goodison Park.
Nzonzi joined Galatasaray on a season-long loan deal from AS Roma last summer but he’s struggled to make an impact with the Turkish club.
It’s expected the 31 year old will leave Gala in January after reports he’s no longer in the plans of the Super Lig side’s manager Fatih Terim.
The Turkish newspaper claim Everton could offer him an escape route, and the former France international is open to returning to the Premier League after leaving Stoke City for Sevilla in 2015.
Along with Everton, it’s reported Lyon are also following the player and Galatasaray will be happy to sanction a move because they don’t want him in their squad for the second half of the season.
Aksam also claim Roma are in talks with the interested parties and his situation will be decided in the coming weeks.
Nzonzi has made 15 appearances for the Istanbul club in all competitions. His contract with Roma will expire at the end of June 2022.
