After Real Madrid completed Eden Hazard’s signing, their focus is now on Paul Pogba, who is their new priority objective.
This is according to today’s edition of AS as Zinedine Zidane has requested the Manchester United star’s signing and Los Blancos will do everything they can to land him in the summer transfer window.
It’s claimed the 13-time European champions’ negotiations with the Red Devils ‘invite pessimism’ because Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have declared the France international ‘non-transferable’.
Over the past few weeks, reports coming out of England suggested the Premier League side have slapped a €160m asking price on the former Juventus man.
However, when Real Madrid asked for a starting price for the World Cup winner, the English club answered that there is no price because they have no plans to part ways with him.
Zidane understands the only way his side can sign his compatriot is if the 26-year-old makes a transfer ‘gesture’ and informs his current employer that he wants to leave the club.
AS state that if Pogba makes his desire to join Real Madrid public, then United would be open to negotiating with the Zidane’s side.
Should Pogba decide against doing so, it will be ‘unfeasible’ for Real Madrid to sign him because the La Liga giants believe it is not possible for them to negotiate with a club who are not ready to put a price tag on the midfielder.
