We’re not going to lie to you and tell you we know everything there is to know about Gal Puconja, because we don’t.

Southampton, however, are apparently trying to find out a little bit more about the young attacking midfielder, born in 2004, according to TuttoMercatoWeb.

The Italian website claim the Saints are one of three clubs to have made ‘first enquiries’ about the Slovenian starlet.

Joined by Bologna and Monaco, Southampton, who are known for their ability to develop and integrate young players in their first-team, appear to be thinking far into the future with this one.

TuttoMercatoWeb described Puconja as having ‘top technical quality’ and ‘good vision’, but you’ll have to take their word on that, because we definitely have not been watching any Slovenian U15 football recently.

However, while looking for more information on the youngster, it seems he plays for Bravo Publikum’s U15s and not Olimpija Ljubljana, which is what’s stated in the Italian outlet’s article.

According to the Prva Liga (Slovenian league) website, the number 10 has scored four goals in 14 appearances in the Liga U15 Zahod this season.
