Arsenal’s Nuno Tavares has been out on loan since the start of the 2022/23 season.
Last summer, Arsenal let the Tavares join Lazio on loan with an obligation to buy if certain conditions are met.
The left-back played 1,868 minutes from 27 games [24 starts], managing nine assists in the process and impressing when on the pitch.
Il Messaggero, relayed by FcInterNews, talk about the Arsenal owned player’s fitness and Lazio’s plans for him.
The Portugal international has struggled with injuries this season and had returned from a setback against Atalanta last weekend. He was on the pitch for 34 minutes before being forced off the pitch due to another injury blow.
According to the report, it was his ‘sixth muscle injury of this season’. The Biancocelesti are hoping for him to recover soon so that he’s available for the end of this season.
That’s because the Serie A club plan to quickly buy the Arsenal man and then sell him in the summer window for a profit.
Inter Milan, Juventus, AC Milan and Galatasaray are all said to be in the mix for Tavares, who has a €40m valuation. Arsenal are entitled to receive 40% of a future sale.
Last weekend, La Lazio Siamo Noi reported Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest are also looking at the fullback.
