In the second edition of Sport Witness’ The Daily Paul Pogba which was published on April 11th, we covered claims from AS that Tottenham Hotspur’s Christian Eriksen is increasingly being pulled in as an alternative for Real Madrid.

Later that day, several reports in Spain explained why the former Ajax man would be a better option for Los Blancos instead of the Manchester United star.

AS takes a look at the situation involving the World Cup winner and the north London club’s star in Friday’s edition of the Spanish newspaper.

It’s claimed that Toni Kroos would like to end his cycle at Santiago Bernabeu and leave the club in the summer. The 29-year-old’s desire is to leave the La Liga club with his employer’s approval, through the front door.

The report explains the ex-Bayern Munich man’s exit would not only bring funds to the club, but also free up the wage bill and space in the squad, which would allow Real Madrid to sign Eriksen or Pogba, or even both.

At the end of the season, the Dane will have a year left on his contract at Spurs and if he decides against signing an extension, Tottenham could consider his sale rather than allowing him to leave for nothing in 2020.
