Sdna.Gr report Olympiacos are interested in signing Nottingham Forest midfielder Joao Carvalho and the Greek club are considering making a move for the player.

It’s looking likely they will lose their Greek League title to PAOK this season and will be looking to rebuild for the next campaign.

Carvalho, who joined Nottingham Forest from Benfica for €15m last summer is reportedly a target for Olympiacos, although Sdna say a deal with the English club will be difficult.

However, Carvalho is a client of Jorge Mendes and Sdna believe Olympiacos could find a way to sign the player due to the club’s relationship with the Portuguese agent.

During the last transfer window Olympiacos signed Gil Dias from Nottingham Forest and they’ve also signed another Mendes client, Roderick Miranda, from Wolves.

Carvalho has played 36 games for Nottingham Forest in all competitions this season and scored 4 goals. He is under contract with the Championship club until June 2023.
