Pedro Porro
Udine, Italy – August 13, 2025: Pedro Porro of Tottenham seen in action during the UEFA Super Cup 2025 between Paris Saint-Germain FC and Tottenham Hotspur FC at the Friuli Bluenergy Stadium in Udine

Tottenham Hotspur defender Pedro Porro has admitted he still dreams of a move to Real Madrid and has done since he was a kid.

Cadena SER have comments from the 26-year-old today. He appeared on El Larguero to discuss all things Tottenham.

That, it seems, included a conversation about his own career ambitions. Porro has been at Tottenham since a €40m move from Sporting Club de Portugal in 2023. He initially joined on loan in January that year before making the move permanent the following summer.

He’s been a key player since, making 140 appearances in total with 11 goals and 25 assists. He’s also a regular for Spain, fully establishing himself from 2024 after his debut three years earlier.

Why Real Madrid dream not dying

That’s seen him regularly linked with a return to his homeland, and namely Real Madrid. Indeed, the Spanish giants were keen before signing Trent Alexander-Arnold on a free transfer last summer.

Those rumours have died down since, with Inter Milan now at the front of the queue instead. But that didn’t stop El Larguero asking about Madrid anyway. And Pedro Porro was not as dismissive as Spurs may have hoped.

“When you’re a kid, you dream about a lot of things,” he said.

“But day to day I focus on my reality, and when you think about playing for the best teams in the world, you know you still have things to improve.”

Tottenham transfer idea

Pedro Porro is particularly interested in Spanish football, keeping a close eye on the big games when they come along. The latest of those was the big clash between Barcelona and Atletico earlier this week.

He admitted that the wouldn’t hesitate to bring any player from either of those teams to improve Tottenham’s current squad.

But, if he had to choose, it would be Barcelona star Pedri who he’d move heaven and earth for.

“When those teams play, every football fan enjoys watching those matches,” he added.

“If I could bring one player to Tottenham, it would be Pedri; I’d give the whole team for him.”
