Bodø/Glimt’s Jostein Gunderson has laughed off concerns from Tottenham star Dejan Kulusevski after his comments about their artificial pitch.

TV 2 cover comments from the Bodø/Glimt man today in response to the Tottenham midfielder, who has made it clear he’s not looking forward to their Europa League semi-final second leg in Norway next week.

Tottenham will take a 3-1 lead to Bodø/Glimt after Thursday evening’s impressive performance saw them take a commanding lead in the tie.

The second leg will be a difficult affair, though, as they will have to deal with Bodø/Glimt’s artificial pitch.

That has helped them see off a long list of European teams this season, with Roma, Lazio, Celtic and Olympiakos all suffering because of it in Bodø/Glimt’s run to the semi-finals this season.

“It’s strange, but what are we going to do? It’s the way it is. It’s not something we can change,” the Tottenham man said on the matter after Thursday’s game.

“It’s going to be difficult, because we have to have a different plan, it’s a slightly different sport. “But we have to find a way to win.”

Those comments have been picked up on by Bodø/Glimt, who have seemingly taken it as something of an insult and been left unimpressed.

At least, that was the impression being given by Gunderson when he was asked about it and offered up a chuckle before delivering his response.

“I wonder what he thinks we should do differently in Bodø city. If he had seen where we live, it’s not that easy to have anything other than artificial turf,” he responded.

“There’s not that much of a difference. It’s still football and they should be good enough for that.

“I think they will come very well prepared. For Spurs, it is their biggest match since they were in the Champions League final (2019). It is the most important match of the year. I think they will give everything they have to take us.”
