There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Trabzonspor are still interested in signing Burnley midfielder Josh Brownhill
The 29-year-old will be out of contract with the Championship side at the end of next month, which has brought him to the attention of a number of clubs.
Gune Bakis today report on Trabzonspor interest in the Burnley player after previous links last month. The say the Super Lig side haven’t given up on signing the central midfielder but will face Premier League competition from Wolverhampton Wanderers and Everton.
Trabzonspor aren’t the only Super Lig side monitoring the situation, following reports earlier this month that Besiktas are keen on the player.
At the time it was reported the Black Eagles had contacted Brownhill’s agent to get an idea of his client’s demands before entering into transfer talks with the player.
Besiktas manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær has also given his approval for the transfer as he looks to bring in his own players during the next window. The Norwegian was only installed as their new boss at the end of January.
Brownhill has made 44 appearances for Burnley this season, scoring an impressive 18 goals.
