It’s been a few weeks since Wolverhampton Wanderers started being linked to Benfica striker Haris Seferovic, especially after his performance in the Euros.
Even though there were claims saying Wolves had shown interest, we were still yet to see any news about contact from the Molineux side for his signing.
Now we get a few more details on this situation, as outlet A Bola have managed to get some interesting information on this chase.
They write Wolves made an ‘informal approach’ even before they announced Bruno Lage as their new manager. That was on the 9th of June.
According to A Bola, ‘there was no advance’ in the process since then. The outlet learned Wolves would press ahead with the signing in case Raul Jimenez couldn’t play next season, which doesn’t seem to be the case.
The outlet adds that Everton, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham all have Seferovic in their ‘shopping list’, while Benfica are demanding €25m for his move this summer.
