Federico Chiesa isn’t quite having a smooth time at Liverpool.
Having played only 78 minutes of football since arriving from Juventus, the Italian wasn’t part of the squad for Liverpool’s game against Brighton at the weekend. That has now been the case for past four games.
Chiesa’s situation is gathering interest from clubs in Italy and MilanLive note that the Rossoneri are also keeping tabs on the winger’s situation.
They go on to suggest that Milan have offered a ‘sensational exchange’ deal to Liverpool and it involves them signing Chiesa. The player has been linked with Milan in the past and the club have put forward the idea signing him in January.
In exchange, Liverpool have been offered a chance to make in-roads for Tijjani Reijnders. Arne Slot wants a midfielder in January and the Dutchman is on the shortlist of potential targets. Martin Zubimendi is still said to be the number one target but Reijnders is next on the shortlist.
The ‘crazy’ deal is being considered by the Anfield club and it remains to be seen whether this will happen in the new year.
