Wolverhampton Wanderers and AFC Bournemouth are among the clubs in the chase for RC Strasbourg’s Jean-Ricner Bellegarde, according to journalist Mohamed Toubache-Ter.
He was mainly used in the middle of the pitch last season, and at times as an attacking midfielder and a winger, managing two goals and nine assists from 31 games. He has two goals and two assists from three games this season.
Bellegarde’s versatility and form seem to have caught the attention of Wolves, Bournemouth and others.
Toubache-Ter states Gary O’Neil’s side have already tabled a €15m offer to secure the 25-year-old’s services.
The Frenchman has a deal expiring in 2024 and the Ligue 1 side have a decision to make on whether or not to accept Wolves’ €15m bid this summer.
Bournemouth and OGC Nice are also in the mix to sign the versatile player but Toubache-Ter makes no mention of either of them tabling a bid so far.
The journalist doesn’t say if Bellegarde is open to joining Wolves or Bournemouth.
Bellegarde spent six years at RC Lens before joining Strasbourg in 2019 and previous claims from France stated Wolves had looked at him in the past.
