Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Fábio Silva has starred for UD Las Palmas since joining them on loan on last summer deadline day.
The striker has scored 10 goals and registered three assists from 23 La Liga games and this includes a brace in Las Palmas’ 3-1 win over Getafe last weekend. They’re currently 18th in the table, a point behind 17th placed Alavés.
Tuesday’s edition of AS highlights the Wolves owned player’s impact at Las Palmas.
They state 22-year-old continues to shine even when the Spanish club are going through a difficult phase.
AS add Silva’s performances for Las Palmas have shown that he has a ‘remarkable future’ ahead of him.
He arrived at the English club from FC Porto in 2020 and hasn’t fully convinced them. The Portugal international had loan spells at Anderlecht, PSV Eindhoven and Rangers over past two seasons.
The newspaper indicates La Liga suits the Wolves man more than the Premier League.
To describe his qualities, they state: ‘He is self-sufficient due to his quality and dedication, with a firm commitment and quick movements that put him at an advantage in short and medium spaces against almost any defence.’
He’s starting to impress regularly after struggling for the last four years and it hasn’t gone unnoticed.
Earlier this month, Estadio Deportivo stated Atlético Madrid, Villarreal and Sevilla are all showing interest in him.
Wolves are thought to be increasingly hopeful they can secure a relatively big sale.
