Napoli remain interested in a move for Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Adama Traoré in the summer.
That’s according to Napoli Piu, who cove the Italian side’s continued interest in the Spaniard today as the Serie A leaders plan ahead.
They explain that Napoli chief Cristiano Giuntoli is working for the summer transfer window already, cashing in on their current position to secure deals in advance.
There are ‘many names’ currently on his list but some are more concrete than others and one of those is Traoré.
The website reports that a move for the Wolves man ‘seems very close indeed’ and there is talk of an ‘almost done deal’ for the former Barcelona man to arrive at the club on a free transfer in the summer.
That’s when his current contract with Wolves comes to an end, with neither the player nor Julen Lopetegui’s side showing strong interest in a renewal at present.
Traoré had been out of the picture under Bruno Lage but has featured regularly for Lopetegui since his arrival, even impressing in spells under his guidance.
That has not led to the belief he could remain at Molineux, though, and it seems Napoli are now closing in on making that a certainty.
