FC Copenhagen goalkeeper Nathan Trott is edging closer towards completing a move to Cardiff City this summer.
The 26-year-old travelled to the UK on Wednesday to carry out formalities, including medical tests, before sealing a move to the Welsh club.
That’s according to Tipsbladet, who provide the latest on the stopper’s impending move to Cardiff City.
He will join Cardiff City on a season-long loan deal, and they have an agreement in place with Copenhagen. The report adds Trott is said to have signed a loan contract with the League One club.
The Bluebirds have been relegated to the League One and will aim to return to the second division next year.
Brian Barry-Murphy’s side are said have secured a purchase option. If they were to secure a promotion to the Championship, Cardiff City can sign him for €1.8m.
Tipsbladet don’t make it clear whether it’ll become an obligation to buy or still an option in case of a return to the second division.
Copenhagen invested €1.5m to buy the player from West Ham United in June 2024 and will make a profit if he’s sold to Cardiff City for €1.8m next summer.
If Tipsbladet’s report is to be believed, all that’s remaining now is for Cardiff City to make Trott’s loan signing official.
