If earlier reports coming out of Italy are to be believed, Wolverhampton Wanderers have set their sights on AC Milan’s Rafael Leão.

Three days ago, Gazzetta dello Sport covered the situation, where they explained that there has been some discussion between the two sides for the forward’s transfer.

Jorge Mendes manages the 22-year-old and the super-agent has close ties to the Premier League side.

According to Calciomercato, Leão is ‘working hard’ in pre-season training so that he can convince Stefano Pioli and Milan to bet on him next season.

In the background, Mendes has brought forward ‘rather important contacts’ from Bruno Lage’s side for the Portuguese attacker.

The Serie A side may be willing to let the former Sporting man leave the San Siro this summer and to do that, they want ‘at least €25m’.

Apart from Wolves, Borussia Dortmund and Marseille are also believed to be in the picture to sign the player.

However, a move to Molineux will see Leão share the dressing room with his compatriots and play under the orders of his countryman, so that could swing everything in the Premier League side’s favour..
