Despite Nikola Vlasic having already undergone his medical tests ahead of his West Ham United exit, the deal with Torino has yet to be made official.

Gazzetta dello Sport have an article on the matter on Thursday, detailing the reason behind this delay with the Hammers.

As things stand, ‘we are now at the very last details between the granata club and West Ham’, with it believed that the two sides ‘could, in the next 24 hours, simultaneously formalise an operation that experienced a significant acceleration on Tuesday’.

The deal is a paid loan with a ‘right of redemption set at €15m + bonuses’, and Wednesday saw Torino and the Hammers begin the ‘exchange of documents to finalise all the details’ of the transfer.

Considering how well it was all going, West Ham ‘authorised the departure of Vlasic on Tuesday evening for Turin, giving the green light to the medical’.

Because of all this, ‘we are therefore at the countdown: it’s likely that everything will happen in the next few hours’, with David Moyes’ side getting rid of a player they never managed to get the best out of despite spending £27m on him last summer.
