West Ham United star Mohamed Kudus has the potential to succeed for Arsenal, Liverpool or Manchester United, if he becomes more consistent.
That’s according to Cedric van der Gun, who has been singing the West Ham forward’s praises to Viaplay, relayed by Voetbal Primeur.
Kudus has long been linked with a big money move after shining for West Ham in the Premier League since joining them from Ajax in a €43m deal in August 2023.
He managed 27 goals and 12 assists in 87 games for the Dutch club and has continued to impress for West Ham, with 17 goals and eight assists in 61 games to date.
While this season has been a tougher one than his first in England, with injuries and suspensions limiting his time on the pitch so far, most are expecting a big second half of the campaign from the Ghanian.
That could put him back in the spotlight of the so-called top six, with Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United all credited with an interest in the past year when he was shining at the London Stadium.
Van der Gun can certainly see that happening and believes the West Ham star is good enough to play for any of those sides.
“That’s possible. The potential is there anyway. I think it is important for him that he becomes more consistent in his game,” he said.
“He can be very steady on the ball. He is so strong on the ball. It is actually unbelievable that he is so changeable. He can keep balls with him and turn away and then you think: unbelievable
“Then he loses two or three balls when it is completely unnecessary. If he becomes more consistent, then his possibilities are unprecedented.
. I have that idea with him too. That he thinks: it doesn’t matter. I can take some extra risk in my game, because I hear from everyone that I am good and that I can do it well. If I lose the ball again, we will run after it as a team.
“I have the feeling that he is a bit too lazy about that thinks. He has to worry a lot be more aware that he does not lose the ball once. He absolutely has the qualities for that.”
