On Tuesday, we carried a report from Gianluca Di Marzio, who stated Torino are close to signing West Ham United’s Nikola Vlašić.
There seems to be a fresh development in this case if reports coming out of Italy are to be believed.
According to Tuttosport, the West Ham man will join the Serie A side on a loan deal with the redemption option set at €15m. The attacking midfielder will receive a salary of €2.5m per year.
The Croatia international arrived in Italy last night via a flight from London to Malpensa. He was scheduled to undergo his medical tests in the morning. The report states the 24-year-old has ‘showed up on time’ for examinations at the Istituto di Medicina dello Sport.
After clearing the medical, the Hammers player will sign the contract with the Turin club in the ‘next few hours’. These formalities are likely to be concluded soon as the report states the player will start training under the orders of Ivan Jurić today.
Tuttosport even state Jurić is thinking of including Vlašić in the squad to face Monza later this weekend.
The Croatian signed for West Ham in the summer of 2021, and managed a goal and two assists from in all competitions last term.
