According to a report in the Turkish media, Galatasaray continue to think of selling Barış Alper Yılmaz in the summer, rather than this month, despite an offer from West Ham.
In the past few weeks, the Hammers have been linked with the 24-year-old attacker and had reportedly made a move for the player.
Journalist Mehmet Özcan has spoken to Haber Sarikirmizi with regards to West Ham’s offer for Yılmaz and despite Gala having rejected their approaches there’s still a chance the Premier League side can sign him.
Özcan says Cimbom want the Turkey international to see out the season and then they will be open to selling him in the summer transfer window.
“Barış Alper Yılmaz received an offer from West Ham United, Galatasaray did not put the offer on their agenda. He is expected to finish the season at Galatasaray. As far as I understand, Barış Alper will be facilitated at the end of the season,” said the Turkish journalist.
Recently it was claimed in the Turkish press that West Ham had come in with an offer for Yılmaz and that a bid of €30m was tabled with Galatasaray. The London club offered €25m initially, with €5m in potential bonus payments.
West Ham were also linked with the right winger last summer after he impressed for his country at Euro 2024. Nottingham Forest have also been showing interest in the player during this transfer window.
Yılmaz is contract to the Istanbul giants until June 2027.
