Earlier today, we covered claims made in Italy that West Ham United have sent an official offer to Sassuolo to sign Gianluca Scamacca.

It was also stated the Hammers’ proposal has not convinced the Serie A side, who want a deal worth around €45-50m to sanction the striker’s sale this summer.

Alfredo Pedullà now explains West Ham will have new contacts with the Italian club today to close the operation.

Sassuolo wanted €40m plus €7m in add-ons for the Italy international, while David Moyes’ side have ‘asked for a minimum discount’. The Premier League side are thinking about a deal of €35-37m, rising to potentially €42-43m including bonuses.

This would be the base for the discussion between the two clubs, where bonuses, more or less, could help West Ham find the final agreement.

Calciomercato.it explain the frontman’s future could be in the Premier League as a move to West Ham is ‘getting closer and closer’.

With the London club overtaking Paris Saint-Germain in the transfer race for Scammaca, it’s claimed the Hammers could ‘substantiate the advantage obtained by reaching closure in a short time’.

The deal could reach a figure of €40m, likely including bonuses.
