West Ham United’s Arthur Masuaku has been on loan at Beşiktaş since last summer and they have an option to make his stay permanent.
The Istanbul club will have an obligation to buy the defender if he features 25 times this season.
Last month, reports coming out of Turkey stated Beşiktaş have started negotiations with West Ham, who have softened their stance on the 29-year-old.
The DR Congo international has made 22 appearances in all competitions this season, managing a goal and three assists in the process.
Fanatik now state the West Ham owned player failed to impress regularly in the first half of this season. Things have improved for him in recent weeks and he’s secured a place in the Turkish club’s starting lineup.
Masuaku, who was earlier expected to return to David Moyes’ side in the summer, has turned things around with his ‘rising form’. This has convinced the Turkish club to make his stay permanent.
Beşiktaş continue negotiations with West Ham over the transfer fee, which will be to try and reduce the price. If they are unsuccessful, Masuaku will make 25 appearances and then the €2.5m purchase option will be activated.
