Real Betis have ‘set their sights’ on West Ham United midfielder Guido Rodriguez and a potential return to the club.
That’s according to Orgullo Biri, who say the Spanish side would like to bring Rodriguez back to the club from West Ham.
They report that Rodriguez has expressed a desire to make a return to Heliopolis after enduring a difficult period with West Ham since joining on a free transfer last summer.
He has failed to secure himself a permanent position under Julen Lopetegui or Graham Potter and would prefer to ‘regain his level’ at a new club. Betis would be an idea destination given his successful period there previously.
Talks are already underway between the Spanish club and West Ham about a return. In fact, they are working to finalise his return.
A deal would be priced at around €3m, which Orgullo Biri say West Ham paid for him in the summer. Rodriguez arrived at the London Stadium on a free transfer, though, so how accurate that is can be debated.
Either way, talks are apparently underway, and Rodriguez would be open to making a return to his former club this summer.
