Two months ago, there were claims from England that West Ham United are showing interest in Galatasaray’s Wilfried Zaha.
Takvim had then played down those claims, but insisted the winger’s future at the Turkish club was uncertain.
Fast forward to May and another Turkish outlet, Fotomaç, talks about West Ham’s desire to sign the 31-year-old in the summer window.
Zaha spent close to a decade during his second spell at Crystal Palace, before leaving them as a free agent at the end of last season.
Galatasaray took the Ivory Coast international for free and he’s managed 10 goals and five assists from 39 games in his debut season in Istanbul. Zaha has failed to score a goal or register an assist in the league since the end of January.
Due to his recent poor performances, the report states the player is ‘expected to leave’ in the next window. They add he could return to the Premier League, where West Ham are the ‘most serious suitor’.
Fotomaç further claim the former Eagles star ‘continues negotiations’ with the Hammers over the possibility of returning to the Premier League. Zaha’s deal lasts until 2026 and there’s no mention of Galatasaray’s request to part ways with him.
