On May 25th, El Mira reported West Ham United manager Julen Lopetegui’s ‘big wish’ is to sign Sevilla’s Youssef En-Nesyri in the summer window.
Three days later, Vamos Mi Sevilla FC stated West Ham will bet heavily on the forward.
AS now report West Ham are ‘in the spotlight’, and continue to have the 27-year-old on their agenda, more so now because of Lopetegui.
The Spaniard managed En-Nesyri at Sevilla and he apparently wants to reunite with him at the Premier League side.
Marca say the La Liga side have to balance their books before the end of June. They have identified En-Nesyri as an option to raise funds and have already received approval from the player and his entourage.
The Morocco international’s contract lasts until 2025 and the report says the Andalusian club have set €20m as the base price. His options are to join West Ham or move to Saudi Arabia.
En-Nesyri feels the Premier League suits him, but he’s ‘less attracted’ to England as a country. He’s a ‘reserved person’ and the ‘cultural environment’ in the Middle East, where he can earn a lot more, would be perfect for the frontman.
The player joined Sevilla when Lopetegui was in charge, and Marca say the manager did everything to bring him to the La Liga side.
Lopetegui has ‘always valued’ En-Nesyri and now wants to sign him for West Ham. There’s the belief a deal could be concluded for €20-€25m.
