West Ham United can sign striker Yuri Alberto for €25m in the summer transfer window, after their previous unsuccessful approach for him.
That’s according to his agent, who has confirmed to Inter Live, via Sport Mediaset, that they currently don’t have any offers on the table.
A report yesterday indicated that West Ham had made a failed approach for Alberto, who has been on their radar for some time.
That report stated that West Ham, Wolves and Southampton had all come forward for the 23-year-old in the January transfer window but didn’t meet the Corinthians’ asking price for him.
That fee was reported to be €25m and is agent has now confirmed that is the figure required for the striker.
“At the moment we have no offers on the table. Yuri can play in all the big names of Serie A: he could also tease Inter. The price I think it is around €25m,” he said when asked about potential interest from Inter Milan.
Whether West Ham do make a move for the striker in the summer remains to be seen after months of being linked with a transfer.
€25m is not a huge price by any means, particularly for a Premier League side, but the Hammers finances are reportedly tight after several years of big spending and a busy summer last year.
That might make a move for Alberto difficult, particularly with Inter Milan also lurking and seemingly keen on the forward too.
