Having sold Kim Min-jae to Bayern Munich, Napoli are looking for his replacement in the market. Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Max Kilman has been identified as one of the targets and this has been regularly covered by the Italian media over the past few weeks.
Earlier claims stated the Premier League side have requested €40m for the defender which the Naples club haven’t matched.
Il Mattino say the Wolves player is ‘on pole’ for Napoli.
Within the report, it’s said Dinamo Zagreb’s Josip Šutalo and VfB Stuttgart’s Konstantinos Mavropanos are the two options handled by Napoli to bolster their defence.
Il Mattio ask to ‘watch out for the twist’ with Kilman because they believe Wolves are open to allowing the 26-year-old to leave on an ‘onerous loan’ with an obligation to buy set at €30m.
Despite Julen Loptegui’s side making it easier for Napoli, if that statement is true, the deal may still be difficult to carry out.
The report says a wall was raised after Kilman’s agent asked for a signing bonus, and Napoli aren’t keen on that. It needs to be seen if the two parties can resolve this so that Rudi Garcia can have the Wolves player in his squad.
