Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal are keeping tabs on Atlético Madrid’s Samu Omorodion, according to DAZN, relayed by Tuesday’s edition of Mundo Deportivo.
Deportivo Alavés took the striker on loan and he’s impressed this season, managing nine goals and an assist in the league. To put it in context, he’s been directly involved in over 31% of the goals scored [32] by the La Liga side this season.
This hasn’t gone unnoticed across Europe and the interested parties include Tottenham and Arsenal.
It’s claimed the Premier League duo, along with Napoli and AS Roma, are ‘closely following’ the 19-year-old.
The Naples club see him as the ideal option to replace Victor Osimhen next season. From England, both Tottenham and the Gunners ‘think about him’.
The Spain U21 international’s deal with Atlético lasts until 2026 and the report says his valuation has shot up from €200,000 to €40m. It’s to be noted these figures are taken from Transfermarkt.
Fichajes also relay this claim about ‘unleashing a London derby’ between Tottenham and Arsenal for Omorodion. They state his release clause is between €80m and €100m, and Atlético are referring to the clause to part ways with the player in the next window.
It’s unlikely Spurs, the Gunners, Napoli or Roma would even consider that level of fee, and they almost certainly wouldn’t need to.
