When the January transfer window was open, it really seemed like a matter of time before Felipe Anderson found a new club.

The West Ham loanee isn’t getting any playing time at Porto, and with his departure from Portugal looking certain, even Premier League sides were pointed out as potential new destinations.

However, a big turnaround is reported by newspaper Record today, as they claim that Felipe Anderson is actually staying with the Dragons.

Since Porto are failing to sign Pepê from Grêmio and are also currently struggling with Covid cases, the West Ham player should now get more chances to prove himself in Portugal.

Record writes that Felipe Anderson could now ‘be the signing who, in practice, he’s never been’ with this new chance at the club.

The midfielder only made five appearances since joining Porto in the summer, and is still remembered for the mistakes he made in his first games for the club.

As his contract with West Ham expires next year, it’d be important for Felipe Anderson to have a better experience in Portugal so the Hammers get a more highly valued player for the summer transfer window.
