A document allegedly outlining Celtic’s detailed summer transfer plans, including potential targets for next season and also contract situations of current players, has been leaked, or “leaked”, online.
Mathias Jørgensen, commonly known as Zanka was identified as one of the defensive targets and the next step suggested was: “PL to discuss with agents”.
PL is Celtic’s chief executive, Peter Lawwell.
Given all the fuss, the Huddersfield Town centre-back has been asked about the possibility of making a switch to Celtic Park.
Speaking to Danish publication BT, the 29-year-old said: “I can’t discuss whether that is legit or not. So, I don’t really want to talk about that.”
The Terriers were one of the three clubs who were relegated from the Premier League and Zanka has a year left on his contract.
There have been rumours linking the Dane with Southampton and Schalke and the player also provided an update about his future.
“Of course, I would like a clarification as soon as possible, but it is also about being able to make the right choice,” the Huddersfield defender added.
He said he wants to escape the ‘boring’ situation he found himself in at the end of Huddersfield’s season, left out of the club’s team.
Given how evasive Zanka has been, perhaps there is something in Celtic interest and he doesn’t want to add to the complications.
