Odsonne Édouard’s loan move from Paris Saint-Germain to Celtic was made permanent in 2018 and the forward went on to impress for the Bhoys, scoring 22 goals and registering eights assists in all competitions last season.
The 21-year-old has started this campaign on a brighter note, managing six goals and five assists so far.
His impressive performances have drawn attention from clubs across Europe and there’s been talk about Borussia Dortmund interest in the Celtic player.
Sky in Germany have provided an update through their transfer expert Man Bielefeld, who hails the Frenchman as a ‘genuine number nine’ and a ‘real centre forward’.
While talking about the Bundesliga club’s interest, Bielefeld claims Dortmund have not made any contact with the player’s environment, but explains Lucien Favre’s side have scouted the Hopps star and have included him on a list of targets.
Bielefeld further states the possibility of Édouard leaving the Scottish champions in January remains unlikely because both the player and his representatives plan ‘a good season, finish the season at Celtic’.
Édouard’s contract with Neil Lennon’s side runs until 2022.
