According to a claim in the Turkish media, Trabzonspor are again showing interest in Sheffield United midfielder Gustavo Hamer.
The 28-year-old was linked with a move away from Bramall Lane during the last transfer window.
However, despite the interest from the Black Sea club he remained with Chris Wilder’s side.

Kuzey Ekspres report on the latest development regarding Trabzonspor’s pursuit for the Sheffield United player. The Super Lig side are keen to add to their midfield in the summer after previous attempts.
Manager keen on Sheffield United midfielder
The Black Sea media outlet says Trabzonspor’s manager Fatih Tekke is keen to bring Gustavo Hamer in ahead of next season. Tekke believes Hamer’s versatility in midfield and attacking areas could be a benefit for his team.
Trabzonspor are now expected to sit down at the end of the season with Sheffield United in the hope they can finally get a deal over the line.
Hamer is said to be interested in a move to Trabzon as it will give him an opportunity to play in Europe. They are currently third in the Super Lig table, eight points ahead of fourth placed Besiktas.
At this stage there is no indication what they are likely to offer Sheffield United or the personal terms they are prepared to give him.
Offer made in January
In January, Sport Witness covered reports the Turkish club had tabled a €6m offer for Gustavo Hamer. Despite their intentions to sign the player he remained with the Championship side. There was also reported interest during the last summer window.
At the time Trabzonspor were also looking to land Hamer’s Sheffield Untied teammate Harrison Burrows. An offer was made for the full back, but a deal couldn’t be sealed.
Hamer is contracted to the Blades until June 2027.
