Tottenham Hotspur have become the latest club to be credited with interest in VfB Stuttgart star Serhou Guirassy.

The striker has managed 19 goals and two assists from 16 games this season and has attracted interest from elsewhere.

TuttoMercatoWeb state AC Milan are keen on the 27-year-old and will face ‘increasingly strong competition’ from Tottenham to sign him.

The Guinea international will be representing his country at the AFCON next month. That hasn’t put off the Rossoneri and it’s claimed they’ll have to compete with Ange Postecoglou’s side and others.

TMW say Guirassy is requesting a deal worth €5m per year, which is a problem for Stefano Pioli’s side. There’s no mention about the north London club and it may not be an issue for them to meet his demand.

Tottenham wanting the frontman is discussed by Gazzetta dello Sport. It’s claimed Spurs, Milan and other interested parties all have the same goal… to sign him by exercising his €17m clause.

The report focuses on Milan, who have a concrete chance of acquiring his signature. They add it’s almost certain the Growth Decree, tax advantages in Italy, will be extended and that can help.

Gazzetta say Guirassy will leave Stuttgart in January if there’s an ‘excellent offer’ and an interesting sporting project. Since he has a release clause, the club that can offer the best deal can ideally win the race to sign him.

Milan certainly have a chance but the newspaper states the Premier League attracts the player ‘a lot’. This could favour Tottenham in the transfer race.

With Guirassy open to leaving Stuttgart and several clubs keen on signing him, there will be more updates on this case in the coming days and weeks.
