As Tottenham Hotspur continue to be linked to FC Porto striker Mehdi Taremi, Portuguese newspaper Correio da Manhã features some interesting information on the player’s current situation.
According to their report, the 31-year-old is actually ‘irritated’ that no offers arrived for him this summer so far.
It’s claimed that despite several approaches, no bids were made, and that has been making him uncomfortable at Porto.
Correio da Manhã writes that Taremi wants his future sorted as quick as possible, regardless if he’d move to Tottenham, AC Milan, Inter Milan or even stay at the Dragons.
The striker was the Portuguese League’s top scorer last season, and rumours about his exit to other European clubs have indeed been ongoing for months now.
Even though it’s the Italian clubs who’ve been more heavily linked to him lately, local newspapers have been claiming that Harry Kane’s departure from Tottenham may now accelerate Spurs’ pursuit of him.
Taremi is currently valued by Transfermarkt at €18m, but the word in Portugal is that at least €30m is needed to take him from Porto this summer.
