Tottenham Hotspur and Real Betis have resumed the negotiations for the transfer of Giovanni Lo Celso, the Spanish press says.

Outlet Mundo Deportivo claims that the parties have been speaking again ‘in the past few hours’, and are now closer to finding a deal.

It’s claimed that Spurs have now made a €60m official offer for the midfielder. And while Betis are analysing the offer, Mundo Deportivo believes the deal can be done ‘in the next few hours’.

Betis have demanded €75m for 100% of Lo Celso. The report says that with this new €60m bid, the Spanish side would keep a percentage, which could be bought by the Spurs later.

That percentage will be related to a future transfer fee.

The La Liga side’s hurry to close a deal would be to raise money to sign a few more players in this summer transfer window.

Earlier today, it was been widely reported in Portugal that Tottenham Hotspur had made a new offer for Bruno Fernandes from Sporting. The bid was delivered to president Frederico Varandas by the player’s agent Miguel Pinho.

Sporting turned down the offer, so considering that Mundo Deportivo says the talks for Lo Celso have resumed in the ‘past few hours’, it seems Spurs are working on two fronts to see what’s the best deal they can get.
