Needing a full-back to come in to replace the departing Rick Karsdorp, AS Roma have turned their attention to two players in particular.

The first one is Napoli’s Elseid Hysaj, who has somewhat fallen out of favour under Carlo Ancelotti, while the other is Chelsea’s Davide Zappacosta.

Arriving from Torino when Antonio Conte was in charge, the Italy international never managed to convince Maurizio Sarri to play him outside of the Europa League, and everyone seems to agree a return to Serie A, if it can happen, would be best for all.

Il Messaggero on Wednesday claim the right-back would be the ‘more accessible’ option of the two.

To further back this story, TuttoMercatoWeb are claiming that talks have taken place between Marina Granovskaia and Zappacosta’s agent, Alessandro Lucci, to discuss an exit.

It’s stated both Roma and Sevilla are after his services, and it appears his time at Chelsea is coming to an end.
