Tottenham defender Japhet Tanganga is holding off various interested parties this summer in the hope that Inter Milan finally make a move for him.
That’s according to Gianluca di Marzio, who says the Italian side are looking at other options before the Tottenham man for the time being.
He reports that Inter are looking for a central defender this summer and one of the names being evaluated by those in charge at the club is Tanganga.
He is on their list of options but for now the Champions League finalists aren’t prioritising his signature and instead focused on other players.
That’s frustration for Tanganga, who has various interested parties in the Premier League but ‘prefers to wait’ for Inter Milan. They, though, are yet to give the green light to the potential operation.
They’re also looking at the likes of Trevoh Chalobah at Chelsea and Takehiro Tomiyasu at Arsenal and so Tanganga is not a priority. Instead, they’re taking a few days to think about it and analyse the various options available to them.
Thus, the Tottenham man may have to wait longer for his preferred move, with Inter in no rush despite him hold other clubs at arm’s length while waiting for them.
