Tottenham player has been ‘offered’ to José Mourinho – Knows him well, could be ideal transfer for all

Tottenham Hotspur’s Tanguy Ndombélé could be one of the options for AS Roma as a possible replacement for Nemanja Matić, according to Calciomercato.it.

Rennes are keen to sign the Serbian and the chances are increasing for him to end up at the Ligue 1 side.

José Mourinho wants Matić’s physicality and experience at the club but the latest scenario has seen Roma general manager Tiago Pinto look for his successor.

Paris Saint-Germain’s Renato Sanches has long been on Pinto’s sights while there’s also a possibility to sign the Tottenham midfielder.

It’s claimed intermediaries have ‘offered’ the former Lyon to Mourinho’s side. He spent the last season on loan at Napoli and the report states Spurs could be open to letting the 26-year-old leave on another temporary deal with an option to buy even if we all know that’s not their ideal solution.

The Roma manager knows the Frenchman well as he managed him at Tottenham between 2019 and 2021.

He was a regular under Mourinho at Spurs as he made 57 appearances, scoring six goals and registering five assists in the process.

This deal could be ideal for all parties involved. Ndombélé gets to play under a manager he knows well, Tottenham can find a solution for him and the Italian club would have a new midfielder.
