Rangers’ John Lundstram and Borna Barišić have contracts expiring at the end of this season and Philippe Clement’s side have made efforts to retain the midfielder at Ibrox.

At the same time, claims from the Turkish press have stated Trabzonspor are keen on taking the Rangers duo away from Philippe Clement’s side for free in the summer window.

Five days ago, 61 Trabzon Haber reported Lundstram had reached an agreement to leave Rangers for the Turkish club.

This was backed up by Sabah last Friday, who also stated the Rangers left-back also has a deal in place to join Trabzonspor.

Sports Digitale journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to claim that Philippe Clement will be without Lundstram and Barišić at Ibrox next season, as the two players have agreed deals with Trabzonspor.

According to Sabuncuoğlu, the 30-year-old Englishman has signed a three-year deal with the Turkish club while Barišić has signed a deal for two years, with an option for another year.

Lundstram arrived at Rangers in 2021, three years after the 31-year-old Croatian moved to Ibrox. The duo will now leave Philippe Clement’s side as free agents and head to Trabzonspor in the next window.
