Crystal Palace are keen on signing Trabzonspor’s Batista Mendy in the summer window, according to reports from France and Turkey.

The defensive midfielder has been a regular for the Turkish club, since joining them from Angers last summer. His form has aroused interest from the Eagles, who have taken steps to try to sign him.

That’s according to Foot Mercato, who say Crystal Palace have made an offer to the Süper Lig side.

In addition to this, Oliver Glasner’s side are also negotiating with the 24-year-old’s agent and hope to secure an agreement in the coming weeks.

The Frenchman’s deal lasts until 2027 and there’s no mention of the fee offered by the Premier League side to Trabzonspor.

Journalist Santi Aouna covered this report and he took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to add that Mendy is ‘okay to join’ the Premier League side

Sports Digitale journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu also took to X to explain that Crystal Palace have ‘started official negotiations’ with Trabzonspor for the player’s transfer. That’s all he has to say about this case.

Mendy has managed a goal and an assist from 33 games for Trabzonspor this season.
