On Friday, El Partidazo de COPE explained Atlético Madrid have received an offer from Tottenham Hotspur for Álvaro Morata.
The striker is currently on loan at Juventus, but they could let him leave in the winter market, after completing Dušan Vlahović’s signing on Friday.
Barcelona are also interested in the Spain international. Marca reported yesterday that Atlético will only let the 29-year-old move to the Camp Nou in a permanent deal.
It was also explained the north London club are ‘interested’ and ‘can close the operation immediately’, if the Old Lady ‘open the door’ for Morata.
The operation is ‘very complicated’ due to the formula of the deal and clubs involved. The La Liga winners have ‘no intention of making discounts’ on the €35m fee for the ‘right of redemption’ for Barca, since they don’t want to strengthen their direct rival.
In the ‘last few hours’, there have been polls from the Premier League for Morata, ‘from Tottenham in particular’. However, the time is ‘very tight’ and therefore, it will ‘not be easy’ for Spurs to ‘get white smoke’ before the window closes.
Massimiliano Allegri, for his part, would be delighted to have both Vlahović and Morata at Juve, and as things stand, ‘this scenario [is] more probable’.
